About Us

Our Story

Adder’s Pantry was founded in late 2025 with the aim of providing a wider selection of natural treats, dog-safe bakes and holistic supplements to Northern Ireland, ROI and mainland GB.

Specialising in dogs with allergies and sensitive tummies, it’s our aim to provide novel proteins rarely found elsewhere, creating baked dog treats with safe, easily digestible ingredients and offering a range of supplements that will boost your dog’s health with natural ingredients. We believe that all dogs should have the choice of a wide variety of treats no matter what, so whether your dog has health issues that impact their diet, is very fussy with their food or is just in need of some more variety in their diet, we’ll have something to suit them!

We only source and create products of the highest quality, because we understand that dogs are just as much a part of the family and they only deserve the best! All the treats and supplements your dog could need, no matter their needs, conveniently in one shop – and don’t forget the unbeatable prices!

The Person Behind The Pantry

My name is Rosie, the founder behind Adder’s Pantry. At 22 years old, I have a Level 5 HND in Animal Management (Science) and am currently studying Level 5 Advanced Canine Behaviour and Level 3 Canine Nutrition.

Animals are my passion, but dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve owned three dogs myself, Chester, Stella and now Adder, as well as working with dogs professionally for over 5 years.

The Paws Behind The Pantry

In October 2023, we brought home Adder, the Golden Retriever x Border Collie. I was over the moon, because he was my first dog of my very own after having two family dogs growing up. I got him with the aim of training him up as a psychiatric and medical alert assistance dog and he did wonderfully at this for the first 6 months, passing several assessments and learning more every day.

I quickly discovered he had a severe chicken allergy after lots of upset tummies and trialling different foods, but I thought that would be the end of his stomach issues. Unfortunately I was wrong, as I noticed drastic changes in his behaviour including human and dog reactivity as well as an aversion to be touched anywhere near his stomach.

I sadly had to discontinue his assistance dog training due to these issues and I was heartbroken, knowing something was very wrong with him. In October 2024, after countless visits to trainers, behaviourists, vets and nutritionists, he was finally diagnosed with gastroenteritis, stomach ulcers and acid reflux caused by a whole host of allergies.

In the last year, with the help of a trusted nutritionist, we have been able to identify and eliminate his long list of allergies from his diet and slowly heal his digestive system. Finally finding the right food, natural treats and supplements have been our holy grail, and his story is what inspired me to create Adder’s Pantry. Allergies are becoming more and more common in dogs these days, and I believe every dog should have a wide range of treats available to them regardless of any allergies they may have.
