Rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids yet low in saturated fats, they are very healthy fish. White fish is also rich in several vitamins and minerals including vitamin B12 and vitamin D which are all key to nervous system health and energy production. They also contains phosphorous and selenium which are vital for general organ function. There are also much lower levels of mercury found in flounder compared to other fish.
